Overview
Now that you have created your packages, let's look at how to book them in Zaui Core (back office). This article will go over the booking process for Packages and Multi-Day Packages.

Home Page
The Packages category in Zaui will not be visible on the desktop (home page) like other activity-types. Instead, it will be visible on the shortcuts panel, on the lefthand side of the home page.
- Using the calendar widget on the home page of your system, select the date you wish to make a booking on.
- Once your page refreshes, the Packages Category can either be expanded where you can select the package of your choice, or you can click on Browse All Packages to see a list of all packages.
To adjust whether the Packages Category is auto-expanded or not, go to Settings > Company Info and scroll down to the Desktop section until you see the Auto-expand the Package Panel checkbox. Don't forget to change those settings once edited!
Booking Screen
Once you have selected your package, you will be brought to the Book an Activity screen.
The Booking information panel will be closed by default, and will automatically select the user that is logged in.
Guest Information
Guest 1
- Enter the Last Name, First Name, and Email Address of the customer.
- Select the Country if different from the default setting in System Settings.
- Where desired, enter information into the remaining optional fields.
- If you have configured Marketing Responses for 'How did you hear about us?', select an answer.
Add an Activity
This section can be skipped since you are booking a Package.
Add a Package
- The package you have selected on the home page will be pre-populated here. Click on Select if you wish to select a different package.
- Clicking on Find Dates (Min Time) will bring up a pop-up that will provide detailed availability for each package component. indicates that that particular package component is not available, whereas indicates it is available. All package components must be available in order to confirm the package selection.
The Min Time tool cannot be used for Interval activities. For Interval activities, select a date/time for each activity using the Select button. - Set the number of passengers to be included in this booking.
- By selecting Does this guest have a signed Waiver? a note will be created on the manifest indicating that this guest has been checked off.
Commissions
- Select a Company and Agent if this activity is commissionable (DO NOT modify if this is a Wholesale booking).
- If the Agent is not listed, click Add Agent to quickly create the account.
This section is handy if you would like to keep track of # of bookings made by your reservations staff for incentive purposes. |
Activities per Day
This section will list each Activity that is included in the package. You can fill in any necessary fields related to each activity (ie - pick up and drop off locations if necessary).
Additional Notes/Comments
Comments can be entered for each activity that is a part of the package and will be visible to the customer. Some examples included here would be a request for special occasions or noting any disabilities.
Products
If you have Products for sale already linked to this package, they will be listed in this section.
Add a Product
- Click Add if you would like to include products on the booking.
- Click Select under Merchandise and Quantity to choose the product you would like to sell.
- Enter the number of items you wish to include.
- Select a Company and Agent if this product is commissionable (DO NOT modify if this is a Wholesaler booking).
- If the Agent is not listed, click Add Agent to quickly create the account.
Would you like to add another client to this booking?
If you would like to list information for more than one/all of the customers on this booking, click Add and another Guest panel will display below.
Checkout/Payment Screen
Once you have filled in all necessary fields for your booking, click on Add to Cart to go to the Shopping Cart, or Add and Checkout to go straight to the payment screen. Once on the payment screen, follow these steps:
- Review the booking and confirm that it has been booked correctly (to modify click on the Shopping Cart symbol on the top right-hand corner of the window).
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- By clicking Split Booking into Individuals, clients will be split into separate bookings with the payment and outstanding balance split equally.
- Select the desired Method of Payment.
- Enter all payment details including Amount to Process.
- Click Process Booking.
- If required, note the Confirmation Number or Booking Reference ID now assigned at the top of the next page for future reference.
