With Tap to Pay on iPhone you can accept in-person, contactless payments, right on your iPhone — from physical debit and credit cards, to Apple Pay and other digital wallets — no extra terminals or hardware needed. It’s easy, secure, and private.
How to get Started
To use Tap to Pay on iPhone, simply download the Zaui Mobile app for iOS, sign up, and start accepting in-person contactless payments right on your iPhone. No extra terminals or hardware needed.
How to use
- Open the Zaui Mobile app on your iPhone and [define next step, such as entering the purchase amount or selecting a specific option within the app].
- Present your iPhone to the customer.
- Your customer holds their card horizontally at the top of your iPhone, over the contactless symbol.
- When you see the “done” checkmark, the transaction is complete.
Privacy and Security
Tap to Pay on iPhone uses the built-in features of iPhone to keep your business and your customer data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple does not store card numbers on the device or on Apple servers, so you can rest assured knowing your business stays yours.
Important notes
- Zaui customers must be using Stripe as their payment gateway
- Tap to Pay on iPhone is currently only available in the U.S.
- Some contactless cards may not be accepted.
- Tap to Pay on iPhone requires iPhone XS or later running iOS 15.5 or later. This includes the following models:

- Tap to Pay is only available on iPhone, not iPads. Payments are processed with NFC (Near Field Communication) techology which is only available on iPhones.
