Drag and Drop Feature in Rental and Interval Activities

Zaui offers a lot of great features to improve the user experience. If you are booking or need to revise a Rental or Interval activity, this article will show you a great drag and drop feature that will help make your changes quick and easy. 

Using the Drag and Drop Feature with Rental Activities

When it comes to Rental activities, the drag and drop feature allows you to quickly and easily change a booking's length of time, change the piece of equipment the booking is made on or change the start time. This feature is useful for operations when needing to juggle bookings onto different pieces of equipment in case a piece of equipment goes out of service, for example. 

1. Using the desktop calendar, select the date the original booking is on.
2. Click on the activity under which the customer is booked. 
3. You will be brought to the Rental Equipment Screen.
4. Click and hold onto the booking you wish to change and drag it anywhere else on the screen to change the time or piece of equipment it is booked on.
   
   
   
   
5. You can also extend the booking time by dragging the right side of the booking entry.

Using the Drag and Drop Feature with Interval Activities

When it comes to Interval activities, the drag and drop feature allows you to quickly and easily change a booking from one time slot to another. 

Let's see how to do this!

1. Using the desktop calendar, select the date the original booking is on.
2. Click on the activity under which the customer is booked. 
3. You will be brought to the Interval Time Screen.
4. Simply click on the icon with the arrow pointing up and down next to an existing booking you wish to change and drag it to a different time slot. 

The availability of each affected time slot will automatically recalculate. Zaui will also attach a history note recording who made the change and when and what the original times were. You can review this information by selecting + Show Historical Notes on Booking on the confirmation screen.
