Overview
This article will go over how to create discounts that can be applied when processing a booking for a customer.
Discounts are set up for use in Zaui Core (back office); they differ from Online Promotional Codes, which are set up for use by customers on the Online Booking Engine. |
How do I create a new Discount?
- From the navigation bar, select Settings > Pricing > Discounts.
- Click on Create Discount from the shortcuts panel.
- Enter the Name.
- Enter a Description.
- Select the validity period - the start and end dates for the discount*
- Select whether the discount will be a flate rate or a percentage rate.
- Enter the flat/percentage Value of the discount.
- Click on Save.
* The validity period of the discount is based on the sale/booking date of the activity/package/product being booked.
The Discounts page will provide you with information on the number of times a discount was used and the amount that the discount has tallied since it was created.
You also have the ability to run Discounts Reports.
Reasons for Discounts
In addition to creating a specific discount, the Zaui system allows you to create a Reason for Discount, for tracking and record-keeping purposes.
- From the navigation bar, select Settings > Pricing > Reasons for Discounts.
- Click on Create Reason from the shortcuts panel.
- Enter Reason (example: Family Promo, Early Booking Promo, Customer Service Recovery).
- Click on Save.
