Overview
A Pricing Option is an add-on to a specific activity that cannot be purchased separately. These allow businesses to offer additional services or discounts tied to an activity.
Common examples of Pricing Options include:
- Add-ons – Luggage, meals, photography packages
- Discounts – Family rates, early-bird specials

Creating a Pricing Option
To create a Pricing Option in Zaui:
- Navigate to Activities > Pricing Options.
- Click on Create Option from the shortcuts panel.
- Enter a Name for the pricing option. (Adding a description is optional.)
- Click Save.
Mapping Pricing Options to Activities
Once a Pricing Option is created, it needs to be mapped to specific activities.
- Navigate to Activities > Activity List, then select an activity.
- Click on the Additional Settings tab.
- In the Pricing Options Information section, click Add.
- Select the Pricing Option from the dropdown menu.
- Enter values for:
- Price (what customers will pay)
- Commission Rate (flat rate for commissions, if applicable)
- Our Rate (your internal cost)
- (Optional) Check Available When Booking Online if customers should see this option online.
- (Optional) Set Cap Inventory to limit the number of Pricing Options available for sale.
- (Optional) Enable Consider Part of Inventory (more details below).
- Click Save.
Commission Settings:
- A Pricing Option can be included in the activity total for commissions (using the Commissionable flag).
- A Pricing Option can have a flat-rate commission (using the Commission Rate field).
- A Pricing Option can be excluded from commissions (by disabling Commissionable and leaving the Commission Rate field empty).
Mapping Pricing Options to Passenger Types
If you want a single Pricing Option to apply to multiple passengers (e.g., a family rate), follow these steps:
- Navigate to Activities > Activity List and open an existing activity or create a new one.
- Click on the Additional Settings tab.
- In the Pricing Options Information section, select the Family Pricing Option.
- Enter values for:
- Price (what customers will pay)
- Commission Rate (if applicable)
- Our Rate (your internal cost)
- Check Available When Booking Online if applicable.
- (Optional) Set Cap Inventory if needed.
- Check Consider as Part of Inventory to map the Pricing Option to specific passenger types.
- Under Map to Passenger, select the applicable passenger type.
- Enter the quantity of passengers that the Pricing Option applies to.
- (Optional) Click the + icon to add additional passenger types.
- Click Save.
Example:
If a Family Rate Pricing Option includes 2 adults + 2 children, you would:
- Select Adult as the passenger type → Enter 2 as the quantity.
- Select Child as the passenger type → Enter 2 as the quantity.
When a customer selects this Pricing Option, it will automatically add two adults and two children to the booking for a set price.
Otherwise, it will show up on the following page after clicking Continue.

Viewing and Selecting Pricing Options
Zaui Core (Back Office)
Once a Pricing Option is created and attached to an activity:
- Select an activity in the desktop calendar.
- On the Booking Page, enter customer details.
- Scroll down to Exclusive Options – Pricing Options for this activity will appear here.
- Select the Pricing Option and proceed with the booking.
Example:
If a Water Bottle Pricing Option was created, it will be available for selection under Exclusive Options during the booking process.

Online Booking Engine (OBE)
If the pricing option is Considered Part of the Inventory, Guests will see Pricing Options directly on the activity page under Additional Offers when making a booking.
Otherwise, it will show up on the following page after clicking Continue.
Next Steps
- If you want to edit or delete a Pricing Option, navigate to Activities > Pricing Options.
- To check how Pricing Options appear in reports, use the All Bookings - Pricing Options Report.
- If a Pricing Option is not appearing online, ensure the Available When Booking Online box is checked.
