Overview

Before you can create activities, you need to set up Categories. Categories help differentiate between the activities you offer and help organize your dashboard.

For example, a company might create categories such as Hop On Hop Off and City Sightseeing & Walking Tours to better organize its activities.

How do I create Categories?

1. From the navigation bar, select Activities > Activity Categories.
2. Click Create a Category from the shortcuts panel.
3. Enter the Category Name.
   • For transportation companies, it is recommended to create Category Names based on direction, such as City to Airport or Airport to City.
4. Upload a Category Image to display on your online booking engine.
   • The Zaui online booking engine is image-heavy, so high-resolution images are recommended.
5. Select Publish to Internet to make this category available for online bookings.
   • Once published, activities within the category can be published or unpublished individually under Activity List.
   • A green dot next to the category name on your home page indicates that the category is live.
     
     
     
     
6. Set a Web Sort Priority to control the order in which categories appear on the online booking engine.
   • Otherwise, all activities are listed based on activity time.
7. Select Show on Desktop/Dashboard to display the category under the OPEN tab in Zaui Core (Back Office).
   • Leaving this unchecked will move the category to the CLOSED tab.
   • This is useful for seasonal activities or inventory management activities that do not require direct bookings.
8. Enable Auto expand on Desktop to keep this category expanded on the desktop.
   • Otherwise, it must be manually expanded.
   • This is useful for keeping popular categories visible at all times.

Image Requirements

• File size: Less than 781.25 KB
• Dimensions: At least 765px x 430px
• Format: Must be .jpg / .jpeg
