How do I create a New Employee?
- From the navigation bar, select Settings > Employees.
- Click on Create Employee from the shortcuts panel.
- Set the Username and Password (Employees will use this information to log into the back end of their Zaui system).
- Select the type of user this will be (description for each user type below).
- Set the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
- Where desired, enter information into the remaining optional fields.
- Select whether or not the employee is available for reporting.
- Click Save.
Employee Settings and Flags: The flags in this section are optional, however the Track Commission for Employees flag is important for any Destination Marketing Organizations and any Resellers.
We recommend that a profile is created for each employee that will be logging in to the company's Zaui system. This will facilitate record-keeping and tracking down changes made by a certain user within the system. |
How do Employee types work?
The system allows the following user types:
Employee Type | Definition |
---|---|
Accounts | Access to all aspects of the software, except managing other users. The default menus visible to this user group are geared towards reporting and the functionality required by an accounting team. |
Administrator | These are essentially the super-users in the system. They have access to all aspects of the software, including the management of other users. |
Dispatcher | These user types have access to the desktop with limited information on inventories and bookings. They are not able to edit bookings but do have the ability to use the search bar to look up bookings. |
Driver/Guides | These user types have access to the desktop with limited information on inventories and bookings. They only have access to pulling manifests on activities to which the driver/guide has been assigned. |
Manager | These user types have access to all aspects of the software that is related to managing bookings and activities. The default menus visible to this user group will have limited access to financial reporting. These users have the ability to overbook an activity. |
Reservations | These user types have access to reservations, payments and refunds. They have the ability to create, edit and remove bookings. They are also able to generate various manifests. The default menus visible to this user group will have limited access to financial reporting. These users do not have the ability to overbook an activity. |
Sales/Marketing | These user types will have the same access as the Reservations users but with no access to creating and editing activities/products/packages. |
How do I manage Employee Permissions?
Your Zaui system will allow you to customize Employee Permissions for each Employee type. From the navigation bar, go to Settings > Employee Permissions. From here, you will have the ability to enable or disable access to certain settings. Although each employee type is pre-configured with access to what is relevant to their role, the Employee Permissions settings allow for further customization.
Manifest Access Settings
If you wish to give or restrict your staff's access to your Manifests, go to Settings > System Settings and scroll down to Zaui User Interface Settings > Desktop. Here, you will be able to select whether you want to allow your staff to view the Entire Day Manifests and/or the Individual Manifests when logged in.
What do I do if I forgot my log-in password?
Forgot your Zaui Software log-in password? Don't worry, you can easily reset it! Simply click the forgot? button on the login screen. This will bring you to a page where you will need to enter your username, and an email will be sent to you with the link to reset your password.
The system will send an email to the email that is linked to your user profile. If you haven't included an email address in your account, you will not receive a link. We recommend you update all of your employee accounts with the relevant email addresses in order to make password retrieval simpler and more secure moving forward. Note: Duplicate emails are not allowed. |
