Overview
In this article, we will be going over the steps to connect the below external equipment to your device (iPhone/iPad, Android Mobile/Tablet) and use them with the Zaui App.

Bluetooth Pairing Between Devices
Before starting the pairing of your devices, make sure you have installed the latest Zaui App onto your device. Check out this article for step-by-step instructions.
Any external equipment that you want to use with the Zaui App needs to be paired with your device via Bluetooth. Make sure you are logged off from the app and that it is not running in the background.
Follow the below instructions for all devices except the Zebra Symbol CS4070 Companion Scanner and the CC Swipers which have different instructions further in the article. |
IOS
- On your device go to Settings.
- Select Bluetooth and switch it on.
- All devices nearby will be listed below.
- Select the hardware device you wish to pair with.
- Sometimes there will be a beep sound indicating the pairing has been completed.
- Once the hardware device has been paired it will show on the list of devices indicating that it is now "connected".
- Exit the settings page and go to your Apps Screen.
- Launch the Zaui App.
- After logging in and loading the 30-min activities screen, tap on the Settings Icon.
- From the list, tap on Select Printer or Cash Drawer (depending on the hardware device you are pairing).
- The hardware device you just paired with through the Bluetooth settings on your phone should be listed. Just tap on it and the app will be ready to use the hardware device. You can then go back to the main menu and process bookings.
Android
- On your device go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
- Make sure the switch is ON.
- The device will start scanning for hardware devices nearby.
- Turn on the hardware device you want to pair. Normally a light will start blinking which means it is also searching for devices to connect to.
- Once your hardware device shows in the list of Available Devices, select it from the list.
- Sometimes there is a beep sound indicating the pairing has been completed. In the case of the Zebra Printer, it will print a key number pin (in case your device asks for a pin).
- Once the hardware device is paired it will be displayed as "connected" on your android device.
- Exist the settings and go back to your Apps screen.
- You can now launch the Zaui App.
- After logging in and loading the 30-min activities screen, go to the App Settings and from the options click on Select Printer or Cash Drawer (depending on the hardware device you are pairing).
- The printer you paired with should be listed. Just tap on it and the app will be ready to use the printer. You can then go back to the main menu and process bookings.
Pairing the Zebra CS4070 Companion Scanner
This hardware device has different instructions to pair it with your Zaui App.
IOS
- Launch the Zaui App on your device.
- Login to your system.
- Select the Settings Icon.
- Select Barcode to pair the scanner.
- A barcode will be displayed.
- Turn on your scanner and scan the barcode.
- A beep will sound on the scanner indicating the pairing is complete.
- Select Back from the top panel.
- From Settings, select Connect to External QR Scanner.
- A screen will display with the scanner name that you have just paired. Select it and this will allow the Zaui App to use it.
Android
- Launch the Zaui App.
- Login to your system.
- Select the Settings Icon.
- From the list, select Connect to External QR Code Scanner.
- The screen will display a barcode.
- Turn on your scanner and scan the barcode.
- The device will then be paired and is ready to be used!
- The box below the barcode will indicate if a ticket was scanned successfully when in use.
Setting up Credit Card Swipers
Credit Card swipers need to be plugged into your device to set up them and to use them.
- Plug the CC swiper into the headphone jack of your device.
- Allow access to the microphone if asked.
- Set volume to max.
When entering credit card information while making a booking, there will be an indicator showing the swiper is connected.
