Overview
In Zaui, Rate Codes refere to fees paid to a third-party reseller, structured either as a percentage of the total cost or as a flat rate per unit sold.

How do I create a Rate Code?
From the navigation bar, go to Settings > Pricing > Commission Rates.
Click Create Code in the shortcuts panel.
Enter the commission code Name.
Set the Type to Flat or Percentage.

Configure the rate amount:
Percentage: Enter the percentage value in the Rate field only, leave the passenger fields blank.
Flat: Enter specific flat rate values in the passener fields (Adult, Senior, etc.), leave the percentage field blank.
Click Save.
What can I apply a Rate Code to?
Once created, Rate Codes can be applied across four main entities:
An Activity
A Company
An Agent
A Group of Companies

When assigning a Rate Code to any of these entities, the following criteria must also be defined:
Date Range: The specific timeframe during which the rate code remains valid.
Code Type: Specifies whether the rate functions as a Commission or Wholesale (Discount/Invoice) rate.
Product Scope: The specific activities or products to which the rate code applies within the date range.
Note: Defining custom date ranges and product scopes allows you to attach multiple rate codes to a single activity, agent, company, or company group.
Hierarchy of Rate Codes
When multiple Rate Codes exist across different levels, Zaui uses a top-down priority hierarchy to determine which code to apply:
Activity Level (Highest Priority) – An activity-level rate code overrides all other tiers in the system.
Agent Level – Applies if no Activity-level rate code is present.
Company Level – Applies if no Activity or Agent rate codes exist.
Company Group Level – Applies if no Activity, Agent, or Company rate codes exist.
No Rate Code (Default) – Applies only if no rate code is assigned at any level.
