As of October 24, 2024, Zaui has implemented new security measures to enhance the protection of your data and ensure the safety of all users.
Google reCaptcha
Upon logging in, users must check the box to confirm they are not a bot.
- They will not be allowed to bypass that step.
- After repeated logins (successful or unsuccessful) within a certain duration, the user may be prompted to complete a different challenge (such as selecting images with certain characteristics).
Invite-based user creation
- An admin or user type with appropriate permission levels needs to create a new user by navigating to Settings → Employees → Create New.
- The required fields are: username, password, user type, first name, last name, email and phone number.
- Once a new user has been created, the account is active but unverified.
- The new user will receive a verification email with a link to follow and activate their new account.
- The account cannot be used until it’s been verified by going through the email.
- Once the new user has verified their account, they will be taken directly to their profile to set a new password. They also have the option to update any of the information such as phone number & address. If they change the email, they will need to verify it again.
- Once they’ve saved their new password they can continue on with the rest of the system and the status of their account will change to Active.
Security Notifications
Email notifications will be sent to the user for the following scenarios:
- A new device is used to log into the system with their credentials
- Their credentials are used to log into the system from a new location
