Head over to https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#/provision. If you are not already signed in to your Google account you will be prompted to do so. Click on Start Measuring. We will set this up to be very specific to your business and Google Analytics. The Account name is the name of the Google Analytics 4 account you are setting up. You may want to call it [Company Name] GA4
Select the types of data you wish to share with Google (optional).
Next, enter a Property Name and then set your timezone and currency. Ensure that this is correct for your own setup.
Select your Business Details. The information requested in this section (industry category, business size) is Google collecting information. None of this will affect your account configuration.
Likewise, the below information is optional and will not impact your account. You can always add any reports you need later on within Google Analytics.
Change the region to your own and then accept the agreement. Then click Create
Click on Web to create a data stream to start collecting data.
Enter the Website URL. This will be the address of your Zaui Booking Engine. Then enter a Stream name. It’s recommended to leave the Enhanced measurements enabled. Click Create Stream
This is what it should look like after you have clicked create. Make a note of the MEASUREMENT ID as you will need this when setting up Google Tag Manager (GTM), which is required for the Zaui integration with Google Analytics.
With this now set up, we will move over to Google Tag Manager. GTM will allow us to insert the GA4 tag into the Zaui Booking Engine, as well as any other tags that you need (Facebook, Google Ads Conversion Tracking etc).
