Activity | An Activity in Zaui references a tour, event, or service with a schedule defined. This Activity can then be purchased as a ticket, space, or timeslot on a particular date or time by your customers! Click here for the types of Activities in Zaui. |
Agent | An Agent is an individual that is affiliated with a Company and making bookings on behalf of your business for you. Agents are set-up to keep track of individual sales for commission or incentive purposes. A Hotel Concierge would be an example of an Agent. |
API | API is an intermediary between two systems where information is passed back and forth as requests and responses. APIs can be used to build things such as apps, custom tools, and white-labelled booking engines |
Company | Companies in Zaui are set-up to sell products/activities on behalf of your business. They can be set-up to receive Commission or as a Wholesaler Company. Examples include hotels or third-party resellers like OTAs. |
eCommerce |
Electronic commerce refers to the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other networks. In the context of Zaui, all of your sales flowing through Zaui are electronic, but largely we're referring to those sales originating from customer self-serve sales through one of your online sales channels. The type of eCommerce from your sales channels is almost always business-to-consumer, (B2C) however, when working with sales agents or wholesalers, can be business-to-business. |
Itinerary | The itinerary is the document your customers will receive online and via email after completing a booking. The itinerary contains information regarding the passenger(s), date, and time the activity is occurring on, in addition to a summary of any costs associated with the booking. |

Product |
A product is merchandise that you manage and sell alongside your activities in Zaui. Products can either be sold alone or as suggested sale items for specific activities. To learn more about products in Zaui, check out this article. |
Reseller |
A Company selling tours on behalf of the supplier. Adheres to the supplier's rules and restrictions. For more information about setting up a Reseller Company in Zaui, check out this article. |
Supplier |
The Company hosting the tour that the resellers sell. The supplier controls rules and restrictions for the reseller. For more information about setting up a Supplier Company in Zaui, check out this article. |
Voucher |
A voucher is the typical payment method used for Wholesale bookings. At the time the booking is made, the wholesale consultant will take payment and provide the customer with a unique voucher/voucher number. This information will then be entered on the Zaui payment screen when processing the booking. When it is time to invoice wholesale agents, you will run an invoice report. This report will list all bookings and voucher numbers for which to invoice to the wholesalers. |
Wholesaler |
A Wholesaler refers to any relationship in which a third-party or reseller takes payment on behalf of the supplier and is invoiced at a later date. Check out this article for more information about a Wholesale relationship. |
Zaui Connect | Zaui Connect involves automated cross-selling between industry partners that mutually use Zaui for bookings. |
